Champions Sports Academy is a well-structured youth sports organization in Ellicott City, MD area that attracts many elementary, middle, and high school wrestlers to train best and prepare them for the state, regional, national, and international championships. Historically, Champions Sports Academy was established in 2007 in Charlotte, NC (As Champions Wrestling School), and operated at several locations in different cities (Mathews and Charlotte, NC) until 2011. And then it was moved to Greensboro areas, where the owner and head coach Adem Kaya began to work on his graduate degrees. While working on his graduate degrees, he continued coaching youth in two different locations in the Greensboro areas (2011-2017). Later on, after receiving a professor position at SUNY Cortland, NY, he moved to Syracuse, NY, where he built a collaboration with local youth organizations to start a youth wrestling as well (2017-2019). And currently, Champions Sports Academy operates in Ellicott City-Columbia, MD areas and provides youth an opportunity to participate in various activities, learn and improve their wrestling skills with well-instructed practice.
Do you worry about your first step onto a mat? Have you ever been scared of trying to make that headlock or not taken a shot because it was on your weaker style? Every wrestler has areas of his or her ways that need work. Champions Sports Academy now offers the perfect environment to identify and develop these areas.
Wrestling is not a preferred sport for everybody but only for those who believe in dedication, toughness, sportsmanship matter.
Coach Kaya is a professor in Sport Management at Bowie State University, Maryland, and a certified Public School Physical Education Teacher, wrestled on the Turkish National Team for a long time before moving to the USA. He won several prestigious medals at national and international championships, including World Championship, World Cup, and Goodwill Games. Besides, he coached at Division I schools for several years; including Lock Haven, PA, and UNC-Chapel Hill, NC. Now at Champions Sports Academy, he dedicates himself to teach young kids to develop physical skills and positive attitudes for total success, and achieve their goals. Along with coach Kaya, well-experienced other coaches help our youth on basic, intermediate, and advance skill developments regularly.
