Archery Lessons & Courses
We run 8-week archery courses during Fall (Sep-Oct), Spring (April-May), and Summer (June-July). These courses are run during our regular club season at our great outdoor venue in Lanham, MD,

Course Structure:
The courses are taught in small groups with a maximum of 10 people being taught so that everyone gets plenty of one-to-one coaching as well as part of the group.
In addition, the courses are designed for beginner and intermediate youth and adults but are also suitable for those looking to come back to the sport after a period out.

Course Instruction:
- Introduction to equipment and safe handling
- Proper shooting techniques and postur
- Target practice with progressive skill-building
- Cultural and historical aspects of traditional archery

Equipment will be provided!!
With a traditional Turkish Bow (recurve bow), you will learn about safety, archery etiquette, basic equipment knowledge, scoring, and shooting at the full outdoor distance of 30-40 yards.
Upon completion of this course, we hope that you will continue to shoot with us on special occasions such as Nomad Games and international competitions of traditional archery around the world.
Having completed this course, you will also be eligible to join any other Archery club in Maryland, USA (Subject to their terms & conditions).
